People are helping people, children are having successes, businesses are overcoming obstacles and participating in their communities. Random acts of kindness happen everyday. It is past time to celebrate this.
This is actually a facebook post that Circle B BBQ in Spindale posted. They opened right as the pandemic closed everything down and have somehow miraculously survived. They will be a vendor at the Forest City Owls baseball park this year. Go by and check out their BBQ. It is worth the trip.
We are so happy and blessed to be able to make this post! It may be long just fyi.
Two years ago the 4th of February 2020 a huge leap of faith was taken as our first brick and mortar opened. What a ride it has been. A month after opening we were ordered to “to go only” by the Governor. All kind of businesses closing right and left.
Then the Town of Spindale revitalization project began. Some days we had to close due to construction and the fact that it was a complete mess. It is great now that it is completed and looks great I may add. Most businesses don’t face these type of challenges on a normal basis. This is only some of the challenges we faced. The point being is with faith and believing it’s possible along with blood, sweat and tears anything is possible.
Last but not least, we want to Thank “YOU” Rutherford County and surrounding areas for allowing us to serve you and your families. Without you all this wouldn’t have happened. Along the way we have been able to give back to the people of this county that supported us. From donating food for families in need of financial help due to medical bills , supporting our local athletes and schools to helping those without a roof over their head get on their feet. We look forward to the future as we are growing.
We have partnered with The Forest City Owls as a sponsor and look to continue growing with them and many more great things to come. Our business is based on faith and being there for others and serving our award winning BBQ and homemade sides.
Thank you for your continued support as we move forward one day at a time!”
Now for a shout out to a pre-Covid established restaurant Forest City Fish Camp in Bostic. They were recently featured in a WBTV video as a Carolina landmark. (watch here) They are a family-friendly dining experience, owned and operated by David and Laura Linder since 2000. The original building was built in the 1940’s and opened as a seafood restruant in 1960 by Ralph and Mary Kiser.

Now for a shout out to Ellen’s Sweet Addictions. I purchased some pie cookies from her today. She is a local home baker. They were amazing. Support local!!
Last but not least a big “Thank You” to the gentleman who stood by the door at Hoot Nannie’s in Forest City Thursday night waiting on a table. He opened and held the door for every single person that came into or out of the restaurant that night. Kudos to you sir!
It doesn’t have to be a big thing to make someone’s day. Just practice kindness.
If you have anybody or anything you want to recognize please message me or send them to debkellercares@gmail.com and I will try to get it posted for you. Let’s celebrate each other. (include pics if possible)
