On the afternoon of Saturday, January 13th, deputies from the McDowell County Sheriff’s Office responded to a reported Pediatric Cardiac Arrest in the Pleasant Gardens community. Unfortunately, the infant was pronounced deceased upon arrival by medical personnel on scene. An investigation is being conducted at this time to determine the cause of death.
McDowell County EMS and the Pleasant Gardens Fire Department responded to the incident. McDowell County Department of Social Services was notified of the death by the McDowell County Sheriff’s Office. No further information will be released at this time.
